For some, running a restaurant is a business. For us, it is our calling. Our passion for food and fine dining comes first, business second. We are a chef-driven restaurant. For you, that means fine dining at its best. We invite you to join us for an unforgettable culinary experience.
John Petrozzi, the general manager of Hudson 29 Upper Arlington, started in the hospitality industry as a busser. He immediately fell in love with the familial aspect of the industry and continued to work in various hospitality roles before joining the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ (CMR) team at Hudson 29 New Albany in fall 2018.
Throughout his career, Petrozzi has learned that having empathy for fellow associates goes a long way. He advises incoming industry professionals to approach each day trying to be better than the one before and to value the impact you can have on your team.
“You never know what is going on in their lives,” he said. “You have the ability to make their life just a little bit better every day.”
A current resident of Westerville, Petrozzi and his wife enjoy watching Ohio State and Steelers football. He also is a technology buff and enjoys completing home improvement projects. His favorite CMR dish is a toss-up between the Osso Buco at Martini Modern Italian and the N’awlins Style Baked Oysters at The Pearl.
For Petrozzi, CMR has opened many doors to opportunities he wouldn’t otherwise have had, which is deeply appreciated. He looks forward to continuing the success of Hudson 29 and, hopefully, expanding the concept to new locations in the future.
